What Makes Claude Motion Different

With Claude Motion, the reports, charts and product steps you already keep become short animations you can replay, export or hand off.

  • Animations Written as Code, Not Filmed Footage
Every clip is an artifact produced by the Motion template — living code that animates the words, charts, shapes and pictures it contains.
  • Tweak a Single Detail, Leave the Rest Alone
Because each animation is code, editing one word, number or timing beat does not disturb any other part of the clip.
  • Your Work Lands in the Artifacts Tab
Finished pieces are stored automatically alongside the rest of your Claude creations, so nothing gets misplaced.

Putting Claude Motion to Work in Three Steps

Go from a written request to a shareable animation in three quick steps.

What Claude Motion Can Do

From the first template pick to a finished MP4, Claude Motion handles the explainers, charts and walkthroughs teams rely on.

Begin with the Motion Template

Open the Artifacts tab, select the Motion template, then spell out the clip you want to see.

Spell Out the Audience, Setting and Length

Mention who will watch, where it plays and how long it should run, and Claude Motion tunes the result accordingly.

Bring Your Own Files and Figures

Add a deck, dataset or screenshot so the clip is built from your actual source material rather than guesswork.

Short Clips Are Where It Shines

Concise pieces work best: meeting recaps, revenue charts for leadership and step-by-step onboarding sequences.

Download as an MP4

When the clip is ready, use the Export option to save it as an MP4 file.

Private Until You Choose to Share

Fresh clips stay visible only to you, sharing is your call, and admins control whether anything leaves the organization.

FAQ

Claude Motion: Common Questions

Answers to the questions teams ask most about Claude Motion.

1

Which plans include Claude Motion, and is it switched on automatically?

It ships in beta for Team and Enterprise. Team accounts have it on from the start; on Enterprise it remains off until an owner enables it.

2

How can an owner turn Claude Motion on or limit it for a whole organization?

Admins control availability under the Artifacts section of Organization settings. On Enterprise, owners can also restrict it to specific groups with custom roles.

3

Will Claude Motion produce lifelike video or footage of people?

No. Text, charts, shapes and images are animated as code, so no photoreal video or human footage is ever produced.

4

Once I make an animation, where does it live?

Each one is kept in the Artifacts tab, the same place where you can launch a fresh clip from the Motion template.

5

What is the way to download or share a finished animation?

Use Export and then MP4 to save it locally. Until you open a clip and press Share, it stays visible only to you.

6

Do animations count against my plan's usage limits?

Yes. They draw on the same limits as your other Claude activity, and a complex clip uses more than a standard message.

Create Your First Clip with Claude Motion

Head to a chat or the Artifacts tab, pick the Motion template and describe the explainer, chart or walkthrough you want. On Enterprise, an owner may need to switch it on first.
