What Claude Motions Brings to Your Workflow
Still in beta, this artifact template takes the files you already have and reworks them into brief clips that behave like video.
- Rendered as an Artifact, Not a Standalone AppBecause every Claude Motions piece comes out of the Motion template, it sits beside your other artifacts in the same workspace instead of inside a separate editing suite.
- Animated by Code, Not by a Video ModelClaude Motions runs no video generation model, so expect no lifelike people or real-world footage — instead it brings movement to the text, charts, shapes and images you hand over.
- Everything Lands in Your Artifacts TabWhatever Claude Motions produces shows up in the Artifacts tab, which is where you go back to reopen a clip, rework it or pass it on to a colleague.
Getting a Clip Out of Claude Motions in Three Steps
A short written brief is all you need to walk away with an animation you can share with anyone.
Inside Claude Motions: Capabilities at a Glance
From writing a sharper brief to nudging a single scene, these are the levers you get when animating material of your own.
Brief With Audience, Screen and Runtime in Mind
Name the viewers, say which screen or room the clip will play in, and give a rough running time before Claude Motions begins work.
Bring Your Own Decks, Numbers and Visuals
Upload the slides, spreadsheet or graphics you want featured so the finished piece mirrors your own material instead of inventing content.
Rework One Scene Just by Asking
Say what should change in the conversation — a slower second scene, or a corrected Q3 figure of 18% — and Claude Motions rebuilds that portion.
Fine-Tune by Hand in the Editor
Would you rather move things yourself than describe them? Open the editor and reposition any element of the Claude Motions animation directly.
Change One Detail, Keep the Rest Untouched
The output is code, so altering a single word, figure or timing cue leaves every other element sitting exactly where it was.
Beta Rollout and Admin Controls
Claude Motions arrives in beta for Team and Enterprise: Team has it on from the start, while Enterprise owners enable it under Organization settings > Artifacts and can limit it to selected groups through custom roles.
Claude Motions: Questions Answered
Short answers on what Claude Motions is, how the beta reaches your workspace, and the ways finished clips get exported and shared.
Which plans can use Claude Motions?
It is in beta for Team and Enterprise plans. Team workspaces get it switched on from day one; on Enterprise, an owner has to enable it first under Organization settings > Artifacts.
Will it create realistic footage or human characters?
No. No video generation model sits behind it, so what you get are animated explainers, charts and walkthroughs assembled from your own content rather than lifelike footage or people.
Do I have to rebuild the whole clip to fix one number?
Not at all. Because the animation is code, you can change a single word, figure or timing cue and every other element stays exactly as it was.
Where are my finished animations kept?
Each Claude Motions clip is saved in the Artifacts tab, filed alongside the other artifacts in your workspace.
How can I download or share a finished clip?
Open Export and choose MP4 to save a copy. New Claude Motions animations are private by default; open one and press Share to grant access.
Does Claude Motions count against my plan usage?
Yes. It draws on your plan's usage allowance much like any other work, and longer or more involved animations use up more of it than a routine message.
Ready to Animate? Let Claude Motions Do the Work
Open Claude, choose the Motion template or simply ask for an animation in chat. On Enterprise plans, an owner must enable Claude Motions under Organization settings > Artifacts before the team can use it.
